This site aims to bring together people working with systemic functional linguistics/semiotics in educational settings around the world. It provides teachers and researchers with an avenue for building knowledge, sharing practice (including resources) and discussing issues relevant to applications of Hallidayan linguistic theory and its subsequent developments in genre and discourse semantics across a range of semiotic resources.
The site is convened by the Educational Semiotics Special Interest Group of the Australian Systemic Functional Linguistics Association (ASFLA). It is currently being further developed. Your suggestions and comments are welcome!
